A big part of the Volvo Ocean Race communication was about its sustainability and scientific programme, which is aimed at raising awareness on plastic pollution and reducing the event carbon footprint as well as helping scientists analysing ocean’s health by collecting data along the boats’ 45,000 nautical miles journey.
